Justice for Immigrants in the Archdiocese of Atlanta
Justice
for Immigrants (JFI) is a national campaign of the U.S. Bishops which
is active in local dioceses and supported by the resources and legislative
updates on the national website: www.justiceforimmigrants.org.
The campaign stands on Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching to
encourage prayer, promote facts about immigration, dispel myths and
advocate for comprehensive federal immigration reform that protects
all workers, reunites families, supports national security, and creates
an earned path to citizenship.
Activities in the archdiocese include parish and archdiocesan workshops
and legislative advocacy and collaborative efforts on the state and
federal level. Legislative outreach includes e-mail action alerts
to the Travelers Together network, who give voice to the JFI position
as constituents of public officials and legislators. To be added
to the legislative advocacy network, email ssullivan@archatl.com with
your name, preferred e-mail address, and parish home.
