Immigration Legal Services
Immigration Legal Services provides services to immigrants, refugees and asylees: helps eligible individuals and families obtain legal status, assists clients
to naturalize, and provides legal representation in deportation proceedings. The office also provides informational workshops, public education and advocacy. We specialize in assistance to survivors of domestic violence, abandoned or neglected foreign children, detained clients and victims of trafficking and crimes.
Immigration Legal Services Appointments
We provide new client services by appointment only, no walk-ins are accepted. Persons seeking services must call (404) 885-7461 Monday – Friday between 8:00am and 12:00 noon to be pre-screened and make an appointment.
Clients are also welcome to come to our offices to make intake and pre-screening appointments Monday – Friday between 8:00am and 12:00 noon.
Resettlement Services
Reception and Placement of refugees: helping families who have suffered religious and political persecution in their home country, begin a new life in the USA. (All refugee clients must be registered with the United Nations and referred by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops [USCCB].)
- Match Grant: job readiness, job placement, and employment services to help families become economically self-sufficient. (available to clients whose appropriate immigration status was granted within 30 days)
- Social Adjustment Services: transition services include home management, crisis intervention and health care management for those with immigration status granted between 0-5 years.
