Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Krygiel
Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Krygiel received his education in Personnel
Management at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Employed since
August 2004 by the Archdiocese of Atlanta, he brings his wealth of management
and leadership experience and has developed strong relationships with the United
Way of Atlanta, other non-profit charities, local government agencies, and the
Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) network.
As Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities Atlanta Inc., Mr. Krygiel is responsible for the oversight of two 50 resident independent senior living communities owned and managed by Catholic Housing Initiatives, a separate corporation of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
In January of 2008 Mr. Krygiel was elected to the Catholic Charities USA Board of Trustees. In this capacity he serves as the regional representative to Catholic Charities USA for the states of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Mr. Krygiel is a member of the Knights of Malta, the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, the Knights of Columbus, the Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem, and Serra International. He is a parishioner of St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church. He is married to Pamela Richardson Krygiel and is the father of two grown children.
Chief Operating Officer, Joseph Galvin
Chief Operating Officer, Joseph Galvin is a native of New York State and has
resided in the Atlanta area since 2001. Mr. Galvin earned both his Bachelor’s
and Master’s Degrees in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia
and has over 18 years of experience in the field of social services. His background
covers relative foster care, residential treatment, outpatient mental health
counseling, independent living and program administration, focusing exclusively
on diverse, at-risk populations.
Mr. Galvin came to Catholic Charities in 2001 after spending six years at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a residential treatment center of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Mr. Galvin was originally hired to help the agency achieve its first national accreditation (COA) and currently oversees all day-to-day operations, service programs, Quality Improvement, and agency budget. Mr. Galvin is currently an experienced peer reviewer with the Council on Accreditation and provides on-going training to other not-for-profits on various social service topics.
