Lead Instructor/EL CIVICS (part-time)
(10-12 hours per week)
Catholic Charities is seeking a Lead Instructor for Tuesday/Thursday evening EL Civics classes for adults in Chamblee.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience working with multicultural populations
- Direct experience in providing ESL or related classes for adults
- Ability to use both Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel) and online databases
Preference will be given to those candidates with the following:
- TESOL Certificate
- BEST Plus and BEST Literacy Administration Training completed
- Familiarity with GALIS
- Experience with the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers
- Bilingual in a relevant language

High degree of organizational, analytical and project management skills, ability to anticipate risks, set and achieve goals and a creative approach to problem solving. Strong inter-personal skills, ability to foster teamwork, an ability to demonstrated tact and diplomacy in difficult or sensitive situations. Strong foundation in budget oversight, fiscal & grant management, goal setting and evaluation, benchmarking and outcome measures. Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), is necessary.

Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) is seeking a bilingual Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, a full time position with benefits. This position is located at CCA’s Northlake office and responsibilities include greeting and directing all clients and walk-in inquiries. Answering and directing all incoming calls to the appropriate staff. Scheduling appointments for new consultations. General administrative duties for legal staff as training and experience permits. The candidate has a High School diploma/GED. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in clerical setting. Basic computer knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Direct customer service experience and bilingual in relevant language preferred.
In addition a variety of administrative duties will be assigned. The candidate will possess strong administrative skills to assist the staff of the Immigration Legal Services with a multitude of Immigration Services related tasks. The candidate is courteous, enthusiastic, a self-starter, flexible, have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new tasks.
