Catholic Charities Atlanta, Inc. (formerly Catholic Social Services, Inc.) is an outreach ministry of the Archdiocese of Atlanta rooted in the Gospel, serving people of all backgrounds and religions, with special concern for those most in need and most vulnerable.

As an agent of compassion and hope, Catholic Charities Atlanta calls on all people to embrace charity and justice. We open our doors to everyone, especially the most vulnerable and most in need from all walks of life, regardless of religion, origin, race or socio-economic status.

Refugee Resettlement Services

The family of Me-Ling* lived in the Refugee Camp in Thailand for 11 years. Me-Ling, her parents, and her five sisters fled Burma because they were Christians. Me-Ling was only 8 years old at the time. Threatened by persecution, thousands of families in Burma suffered a fate similar to that of Me-Ling and her family.

Good Morning America featured the story of the Firestone family, whose mother left the country, changed her identity, and has not spoken to her children since. Now seven years later, the children are struggling to make ends meet.

Catholic Charities is still actively responding to victims suffering from tornado damage in Cherokee and Clayton Counties. Please check this site again in the near future for updates.
